A fiery, passionate, versatile and driven professional - Manuel Chaves began his journey in the arts at an early age. He is a Colombian country raised, down to earth actor who has made the most of every role with a focused and committed presence.
Manuel furthered his experience in the performing arts at The Sorbonne Nouvelle University, in Paris, completing a DEUG of Arts, majoring in Theater Studies. Then his career on TV continued with many important shows such as Francisco el Matemático, Pura Sangre, El Capo and la Niña.
Over the years, whilst networking with fellow students and industry professionals, he has trained with industry teachers and artists, who have encouraged him to perfect the craft of acting. Manuel Chaves has appeared in many productions including De Pies a Cabeza, Bolivar and a recent Colombian film Afuera Del Tiempo.
In 2016, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in La Luciérnaga at the Macondo Awards, the Colombian Academy Awards. Most recently he has worked on Bolivar, a Colombian co-production between Caracol and Netflix.
He has a unique passion for physical theatre, dance and storytelling. Manuel is determined to continue evolving his acting career in Australia while studying a business diploma, to add new skills to his producing experience.
