Oliver Fritz
Oliver’s love for screen acting was ignited by a night shoot as supporting artist on an East German TV production in the late 1980s. After graduation he secured himself a number of supporting roles in German TV productions before following his partner and moving to the UK in the 1990s where he initially focused on his second passion: writing. He worked successfully as the German editor for Trivial Pursuit and created content for various board and quiz games, including the popular German TV quiz show Buchstaben Battle. After the publication of his English book The Iron Curtain Kid, about life in East Germany and which was endorsed by the German Cultural Institute, Oliver began to focus again on his acting career and completed a post-graduate acting course in London.
In the following years he worked twice on The Crown, featured over three seasons in four episodes of the National Geographic production of Nazi Megastructures and appeared in popular BBC programmes such as EastEnders and Holby City. Oliver has also been a supporting artist in almost 300 German, British and Hollywood productions, including War Horse, The Dark Knight Rises, Red, Mission Impossible, Kingsman, Sherlock Holmes, Holmes & Watson, Last Night in Soho, Darkest Hour, Fast & Furious, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Beasts, Captain America and Blitz, just to name a few.
