Sarah Thillagaratnam is a theatre and screen actor from Western Australia.
She recently played the lead role of Bagheera the Panther in Jungle Book The Musical. She features in the upcoming short sci-fi film Mingler, and is currently in an advertising campaign for Crown Resort and Casino.
Sarah has performed in five Shakespeare productions – most notably as the perpetually drunk Host of the Garter in The Merry Wives of Windsor; and as Lady Montague in Romeo and Juliet.
Recent roles have seen Sarah put her fencing skills to use as Leader of the Amazon warriors in Peter Pan; pad up to play Kim Kardashian in the comedy pantomime version of Cinderella; and perform as part of the Fringe festival in Dead by the Minute, playing high school teacher Ms Lector.
Sarah has performed in two Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, The Mikado and The Sorcerer, and appeared in the musical Oklahoma.
She played Johnna Monevata in a production of August Osage County which won Best Play at the 2019 Independent Theatre Awards. Sarah was fortunate enough to perform at the Heath Ledger Theatre as part of the awards ceremony.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism and Film & TV, as well as a postgraduate qualification in Literature.
Sarah likes dogs and enjoys singing, Kung Fu, cartoons and video games.
