Bernadette Pilkington

Born and breed a fifth generation Australian, Bernadette graduated from UWA in 1979 before beginning a 40-year career as a respected Dental Surgeon in Perth. Bernadette related well to her patients by gaining their confidence and trust.
Outside of her time in her surgery Bernadette has always maintained a love of musical theatre, music, and all forms of performance art. She is a longtime Friend of the Academy at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Following a knee replacement Bernadette was asked by her surgeon to feature on film in a professionally produced “coaching video” commission by the surgeon to provide on-line coaching to other patients who were to undertake the same procedure daily via an APP. The coaching video remains in use today.
Her other interests include travel, glass blowing, cycling and lawn bowling.
