Ainslie Gatt
Ainslie has a recognisable and marketable look and has worked with well-known figures in the industry. Predominately a photographic model and feature talent on television commercials, her most recognised performance being The Face of Burswood Casino 2000 press campaign. The media coverage for this campaign included featuring on prime-time commercial television, print media, Transperth bus signage, taxi signage, the large banners entering and exiting the Perth international airport, and national and international publications.
Additional significant campaign credits include Stephan Jeweller's TV commercial, Face of Centro Dianella Shopping Centre (photo shoot), Swan Draught TV commercial with Marcus Graham, an actor in the theatre adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Lords and Ladies, and the Australian film Shark Net, to name a few.
In 2008/09, Ainslie was the arts segment presenter on the Channel 31 programme Wake Up! WA, produced by her colleague Carol Wallbank. The same year she presented an arts segment on Curtin Radio, promoting the upcoming events run by the Friends of the Art Gallery of Western Australia, of which she held the position of Vice President.
Academically, Ainslie is a PhD candidate (Fine Art) at The University of Western Australia (2020-2023). Her research is focused on the art and art market of contemporary artist Cecily Brown (b.1969). In addition, Ainslie has a Graduate Certificate in Business and a Master of Curatorial Studies in Fine Art by Research. Ainslie's undergraduate BA degree is in visual Culture; additionally, she studied Drama, Film and Television at Curtin University and Museum Studies at Edith Cowan. Ainslie has owned and operated an art consultancy business for nearly three decades and has developed an extensive understanding of contemporary art and the business of art.
