Yilin Kong
Yilin is a Perth based, born, bred and grown independent artist, a compassionate, driven, diligent and down to earth individual who is constantly eager to learn, share, and take on any opportunity and challenge.
Yilin grew up absorbed in the arts, surrounded by music, visual arts, dance and theatre, and was a performer from a very young age. Yilin undertook her tertiary performing arts study at the West Australian Academy of Performing arts graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2011.
Since graduating she has gained an incredible wealth of versatility, growth and experience as a performer, in theatre, dance and physical theatre, having been involved in countless stage productions both nationally and internationally.
Most recently Yilin performed one of the lead roles in Barking Gecko’s premier season of A Ghost in my Suitcase at the Sydney, Melbourne and Perth international arts festivals.
Over the years, Yilin’s drive has been to continue to not only perform, but to develop her skill set as an artist. As her background being predominantly in dance, Yilin has recently spent time in theatre spaces fine tuning her talent to blend both movement and acting in the one space.
Yilin is passionate about growing and giving as a performer and welcomes all opportunities for experience and growth. She is dedicated and committed to every role she’s been given, passionate about delivering work that can truly resonate with audiences.
