MELLITA FERNANDO
Born in Singapore and raised in Perth from the age of five, Mellita has always been drawn to the world of performance. What began as a childhood filled with dance classes, singing, and catwalk modelling soon grew into a deeper exploration of storytelling and expression. Her curiosity led her overseas to London, where she studied film directing — only to discover that her true passion was not behind the lens, but in front of it. Since embracing acting as her calling, Mellita has pursued her craft with focus and dedication, training with respected teachers and developing her range across comedy, drama, and commercial performance. Her screen work includes national campaigns such as the City of Perth Responsible Drinking initiative and a TAB advertisement, as well as a guest role on ABC’s comedy series How Not To Behave, where she performed alongside well-known Australian comedians Celeste Barber and Susie Youssef. Known for her adaptability and keen ear, Mellita is fluent in Australian, British, and standard American accents, and brings both discipline and creativity to every project. Her multicultural background and international training have shaped her into a performer with a unique perspective and dynamic presence. With a lifelong love for the performing arts, Mellita continues to build her career across stage and screen, always seeking out roles that challenge, inspire, and connect with audiences.
