MARIE-EVE CiGNA
Marie-Eve is a French-Canadian Australian actress who graduated from the Bachelor of Performing Arts – Performance Making at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2024. Dedicated and driven, she grew up as a competitive gymnast, figure skater and elite swimmer, for which she made the Junior National Open Water Canadian team at age 15. She found her way to the performing arts following an injury that brought her athletic career to an end, and she has since developed skills as an actor, writer and director. She has experience on the stage and the screen, with many productions under her belt as part of her training at WAAPA, such as Charles Mee’s epic Greek retelling Big Love under the direction of Candy Bowers. She has also notably played the role of Rosie in Melville Theatre’s production of Things I Know to be True by Andrew Bovell which went on to win Best Play at the 2022 Finley Awards. She has appeared in shorts films that were selected for the Revelation Film Festival and the WA Made Film Festival, and in commercials for Murdoch University and P&N Bank. Marie-Eve dives in whole-heartedly in every project she takes on, is committed to advancing her career as a creative and continues to refine her skills as an actor and performance maker.
