MAHALIA BOWLES
Mahalia Fayth Bowles is a multi-talented actor whose journey has taken her to perform professionally overseas and to delve deep into different mediums of storytelling.
Mahalia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from Federation University and has portrayed a range of iconic characters on stage, including Rapunzel in "Into the Woods" and Roxie Hart in "Chicago." Her enchanting journey led her to work as a face character and performer at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort, where she brought beloved Disney characters to life, including Belle, Mary Poppins, Snow White, and more. Before her move from Perth to Sydney to study her bachelor’s degree in 2015, she simultaneously completed an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts at Principal Academy of Dance and the Certificate II: Music Theatre at WAAPA as well.
June of 2021 saw Mahalia return to Perth from teaching & freelance performing with companies such as Aurora Theatre Company, Exposure Concepts & Dove Tales Theatre Company in Hong Kong for a year. Mahalia's creative spirit knows no bounds. She is always working on her craft in both stage & screen. She’s now back in Perth after completing her Postgraduate Diploma of Broadcasting at Edith Cowan University last year, and then living and working as a broadcast journalist and regional reporter for the WIN Network in Orange, NSW for 7 months. Mahalia has done extensive training over the years, worked with industry professionals and acted in short films, independent theatre, fringe shows, children’s theatre and many productions. She’s now heavily involved in media and documentary development in the Perth scene.
