ELLE FISHER

Elle began her journey in acting in 2020 after leaving a career in corporate finance. With a playful and committed spirit, she began training with independent acting studios, and shortly thereafter enrolled at Curtin University’s theatre program. Within a few short months, she was cast in four community plays, four student films, two commercials and two industrial videos as well as role plays, to such an extent that she had to turn down roles. She credits this quick progression to good friends who were also walking the path of acting and supported her in her first steps.

Elle has an affinity for playing comedic roles as well as clever dramatic characters. With a general North American accent, she has a knack for accents including American, Southern US, New York, British (RP), European/Mediterranean and Middle Eastern. She speaks fluent English, French, some Farsi and can say a few words in authentic accents in German, Greek, Spanish, Arabic, etc. that may give the impression she is fluent, when in fact she is just reading off page.

Elle finds community theatre a great opportunity to refine her craft, continue to learn and meet new people. However, her interest lies in both film and theatre, aiming to engage in both to the maximum each year.

In 2022, for the 46th Annual Robert Finley Awards 2020/21, Elle won: Adjudicators’ Certificate for an impressive debut season in community theatre, playing in a variety of diverse roles for several different companies; and, Dramafest Adjudicators’ Certificate for adorable and amusing ensemble work as elderly bridge players in Melville Theatre Company’s The Heist.
