Laura Caruana
Born in Melbourne, Victoria as the youngest of six kids, Laura has always had a passion for performance. At the age of 11, she began taking drama lessons and this is when she really fell in love with the craft. She decided that this was what she wanted to pursue and has been chasing that dream ever since.
Laura graduated from the Federation University Arts Academy in Ballarat in 2013, having spent three years studying theatre, voice, movement and dance in a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting. In 2014 Laura travelled to the USA to study film and television at the New York Film Academy, New York, and stand up and storytelling at The Second City Training Center, Chicago. Laura found both of these schools to be rewarding in their own way, and loved the opportunity to broaden her skill set whilst overseas.
Since returning home, Laura has worked with the Melbourne Shakespeare Company in the role of Moth under the direction of Jennifer Sarah Dean in 2016. She is currently looking for Australian projects in both stage and screen to sink her teeth into.
