Ann Marie Biagioni
Ann-Marie is an eclectic, energetic and natural performer with extensive experience working within the WA and national performance scenes. She has also collaborated on works with international companies for a number of the Perth International Arts Festivals throughout the years. Ann-Marie has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Performance and Theatre Studies from Edith Cowan University / WAAPA, as well as an Honours in Performance Studies from Curtin University, in which she niched her studies toward physical theatre and collaborative theatre making.
Ann-Marie is one of the founding members of independent physical theatre company The Open Lid Ensemble. An ensemble devising predominantly in the theatrical styles of Butoh and Suzuki Method, Ann-Marie has been an integral part of the company’s work in various performance and production roles (including Halina (2016), Risscht! The Little Match Girl (FringeWorld Theatre Award Finalist 2017) and Hypatia (2017)).
Ann-Marie is also a playwright. Her debut script Inside We Hide (produced by The Cutting Room Floor) was staged as a part of the Summer Nights season at The Blue Room Theatre in 2016. Her sophomore show Badger & Kit Write The Best Love Song Ever (produced by B&K Productions in association with Variegated Productions) was staged as a part of Flaming Locomotive’s season for FringeWorld 2017, attaining a Theatre Award nomination.
Aside from her acting, writing and devising credits, Ann-Marie is a singer who fronts original indie-pop duo turn theatre music makers Badger & Kit.
