Amy Penning
Amy studied the Acting Essentials course at 16th Street Actors Studio (2022-2023). She has been performing in community theatre for the past few years. She performed in Hamlet as Ophelia with Grover Theatre Company (2022). She has also performed with Eltham Little Theatre in Much Ado About Nothing as Hero (2023) and as Hope and Ginette in Almost Maine (2023). Amy performed with Mordialloc Theatre Company in Veronica’s Room as the Girl (2024). Recently, Amy performed with Mordialloc Theatre Company as Sybil in Lord Arthur Saville’s Crime (2025).
Amy has been writing and imaging stories since was a young girl. She loves playwriting and writing short stories. She is particularly interested in mental health, feminism and empowerment. She co-wrote a one-woman show with Stephanie Fazzari called Obsession. She performed this in 2023 at the Butterfly Club. In October 2025, she performed and wrote a one-woman show called Silently Screaming for Melbourne Fringe Festival. In the future, she would to write more plays and to be a director.
